Generation Group
Who Are We?
Generation is the new youth group of the Institute of Promotional Marketing, founded as an action group tasked with the effective targeting and engagement of promotional marketing professionals between the ages of 21-35. We are committed to the instigation of projects that connect with these promotional marketing professionals across all areas of the industry, extending and adapting the services offered by the Institute of Promotional Marketing to cater for the changing needs of this segment.
The group consists of 12 members, representing young professionals from all corners of the industry, from agency to fulfilment, professional services and beyond.

 | Ali Dickson, RPM Ltd (A)
Ali Dickson works for Experiential agency RPM in West London. He joined the agency's grad scheme in 2008 working across all departments from creative to production before being placed in the Agency's planning and strategy team. Now as a Senior Planning Executive, Ali works across all the Agency's main clients ranging for FMCG brands to international broadcasters. |

 | Chris Ross, Coca-Cola
Chris spent the first 4 years of his career at bd-ntwk in the Coca-Cola account team and then joined the Carlsberg team at Billington Cartmell before working in Australia and then coming full circle to take up a client role at Coca-Cola GB. He loves football, supports Crystal Palace (and acknowledges the contradiction) and his favourite places are Sydney and Vegas. |
 | Andrew Thatcher, Blue Chip Marketing (UK) Limited
Andrew started his marketing career in 2007 with a placement year at Blue Chip’s Manchester office, during which he worked on the Kellogg’s, Premier Foods and Co-operative accounts. During his final year at The University of Leeds, Andrew carried out a monthly review of promotions in the market and presented them to the Blue Chip team and their clients. After graduation he returned to the business and worked primarily on the Müller and O2 accounts. In May 2010, he moved down South to help establish Blue Chip’s London office. He currently works on the ACCO account delivering pan-European promotions, enjoys cycling, baking bread and growing his own vegetables. |
