Promo news: Country Life Buttermen, Maynards Soda Popz, John Smith's racing, Barefoot Wine saves mou

Welcome to your Monday news alert from promomarketing.info, the website for the promotional marketing industry. So Andy Murray has become the first Briton to win the Wimbledon men's title since 1936 -- what a coup for his sponsors, who include RBS, Rado (part of Swatch), Adidas and racket maker Head. But what about Highland Spring, the water company which sponsored Murray until a couple of years ago and ran promotions offering the chance to win training with him? It pulled out reportedly because the £1m a year contract was too steep for it. Perhaps it should have hung on for another couple of years. If you have a news story about promotional marketing, send me a press release and I'll consider it for publication. The email is Martin.c@promomarketing.info. Have you been forwarded our alert by a colleague? Don't be second with the news – make sure you get your own personal regular update on the latest news from the promotional marketing industry by registering on our website. Best wishes, Martin Croft Editor Promotional Marketing
