Sunmagic announces ‘Turbo’ film partnership

Sunmagic, the 100% pure fruit juice, smoothie and juice drink brand, is the exclusive soft drinks partner for Turbo, the new animated film about racing snails which will be released in the UK and Ireland on 18 October 2013 by Twentieth Century Fox. The partnership will be promoted on-pack across a number of Sunmagic packs from now, with an on-pack promotion for consumers to win a trip to Abu Dhabi. Razin Ali, Sunmagic brand manager, says: “We are delighted to announce Sunmagic’s first ever cinema film partnership and are looking forward to working with Twentieth Century Fox again after a highly successful partnership over the last year with Ice Age 4 DVD. Turbo is an excellent fit for the Sunmagic brand, as our delicious juices, like the film, can be enjoyed by the whole family. As a result of our co-branding partnerships on Ice Age 4 and now Turbo, we’re now reaching several million more consumers.” Four of Sunmagic’s one-litre packs will be on promotion in Tesco while Turbo is on-pack. Turbo’s digital activity will also encourage consumers to enter the prize draw to win the holiday to Abu Dhabi. The products have also been launched into 420 of the 440 Tesco Petrol Filling Stations. Sunmagic is supporting this listing with Turbo-branded off-fixture displays (OFDs) in front of all the till points, thereby offering a higher rate of purchase. The new Turbo partnership follows an increased level of marketing this year for Sunmagic, which has included a £1m brand investment, with activity such as the Love Sunmagic breakfast radio campaign in May. The Sunmagic brand is growing rapidly, with sales for the first half of 2013 (January to June) up 24% year-on-year, and July 2013 its highest month of sales ever.
