CLIC Sargent and Metcalfe’s skinny partnership

Friday February 28, 2014 at 9:54am
Snack brand Metcalfe’s skinny has pledged to raise over £30,000 for the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, CLIC Sargent. To celebrate the partnership, Metcalfe’s skinny has rebranded its classic Sea Salt popcorn as “CLIC Sargent Salt Topcorn”. For every pack of CLIC Sargent Salt Topcorn sold, Metcalfe’s skinny will make a donation to the charity. The funds raised could pay for vital services such as 1,000 nights in one of CLIC Sargent’s Homes from Home, which provide free self-catering accommodation near to specialist hospitals. Metcalfe’s Food Company, which owns the Metcalfe’s skinny brand, is an innovative food company founded by Julian Metcalfe, founder of the Pret A Manger and itsu food retail chains. Launched in 2009, its products are stocked by retailers including Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose. The charity partnership is being backed by CLIC Sargent celebrity supporter Lydia Bright, from The Only Way is Essex, who was the special guest at the launch popcorn party held at the charity’s Paul’s House near University College London Hospital and Great Ormond Street. Julian Metcalfe, creative director and chairman of Metcalfe’s Food Company says: “We are looking forward to our three-year partnership with CLIC Sargent to help ensure that every child and young person living with cancer gets the most out of life as possible.”
