Durex lights up London to couples coming together
Friday February 7, 2014 at 12:36pm
Durex is to light up London’s skyline with one of the city’s largest ever light shows to celebrate the most romantic night of the year – and the launch of new Durex Embrace pleasure gels. The audience will also be offered the chance to win luxury Valentine’s prizes. On the evening of February 13th 2014, the sounds of moaning will echo over the South Bank as skyscraper-height lights ‘dance’ to iconic love songs. Lovers drawn in by the show, which is taking place on the observation platform near the OXO Tower, will also be surprised with a flashmob of sensual dancers moving in time to the provocative tunes. Famous lighting designer Durham Marenghi, who has created lighting designs for the Queen’s Jubilee as well as Olympic ceremonies, will be working with Durex and Virgo Health to create the spectacular light show. Thought to be one of London’s largest ever son et lumière stunts, almost 100 search lights will dance in time to the music. Towering pink and purple beams will move independently to the voices of male and female singers, mimicking the dual action of the pleasure gels and coming together in a climatic finale to replicate the amazing reaction between the warming and tingling Durex Embrace gels. Couples are invited to interact with the event by sending in their messages of love using #DurexEmbrace – with all Tweets being displayed in lights on the South Bank for the world to see. All those who attend the stunt will also be in with the chance of winning a range of luxury Valentine’s goodies.
