PizzaExpress rewards Londoners for struggling in to work

Wednesday February 5, 2014 at 4:01pm
Restaurant chain PizzaExpress has sent an email promotion offering London commuters 40% off their food bill at a number of its outlets in the centre of London, in recognition of their heroic efforts in struggling in to work despite the impact of the strike which has crippled the London Underground network. The email has been sent to subscribers to the PizzaExpress newsletters. The subject line for today’s email is: “Well done, Londoners. Here's your reward for making it to work.” Copy reads: “We applaud you. We’re not going to let the tube strikes stop us either, so join us for pizza - we’ll reward you with 40% OFF your food bill.” Recipients can then download a voucher which they can use at 46 Central London outlets either today (February 5th 2014) or tomorrow (February 5th 2014). Usual restrictions apply. The email is also on the chain’s website, www.pizzaexpress.com
