Smint samples London sandwich bars, offices

Friday February 7, 2014 at 1:44pm
Perfetti Van Melle’s Smint mint sweet brand is blitzing London during February to support its ‘Fresh to Impress’ campaign. The campaign will reach hundreds of offices and sandwich shops in over 50 areas throughout London. Starting in early February and running for three weeks, special Smint sachets will be distributed via widespread office drops across London by the Smint ‘Fresh to impress’ sampling team. In addition, Smint-branded sandwich bags will be given away via sandwich shops, along with branded display bowls specially developed for use on counter tops and reception desks. The campaign has been created by Windsor-based agency Fountain Marketing. The sampling campaign will focus on Smint’s core Mint flavour but will also remind consumers of Smint’s new Strawberry flavour through the branded sandwich bags. Smint Strawberry supports Breast Cancer Care by donating 5p per pack sold to the charity. Before Christmas, Smint ran a sampling campaign through Fountain targeting commuters at main line London train stations. Shankar Iyer, product manager for the Smint brand, says: “This Smint sampling activity is a fantastic way for Smint to kick off the year and supplements Smint’s cinema sponsorship of a season of iconic films, which are all contenders for award ceremonies during the next four months. It also follows on from Perfetti Van Melle’s enormous outdoor advertising campaign in the London area and really shows that 2014 is the year that Londoners will be ‘Fresh to Impress’.”
