WKD launches ‘Braziliant POS' packs for retailers

SHS Drinks is extending the number of variants of its WKD product available in Price Marked Packs, and is promoting the move by inserting WKD Brazilian POS kits into the cases. The POS kits are intended to drive trial of this year’s latest WKD limited edition flavour. Specially marked cases of £2.99 PMP stock are being launched exclusively in the cash & carry, wholesale and convenience sectors from the end of February. The initial production run will contain the WKD ‘Braziliant POS’ pack including posters, shelf wobblers and shelf barkers plus a ‘£1 off’ coupon redeemable against a case of WKD Brazilian Limited Edition. Eye-catching neck labels highlight the ‘Only £2.99. RESULT!’ deal to create stand-out on shelf and in the chiller. WKD is Britain’s best-selling alcoholic Ready-to-Drink product, according to Nielsen. Debs Carter, marketing director for WKD, says: “With PMPs, the price is clearly displayed on the pack providing consumers with the reassurance that they are buying at an appropriate price, and there is strong evidence that PMPs drive impulse purchase too – seven out of ten shoppers say they are more likely to buy a product on impulse if it is price-marked.”
