Jeep celebrates two-year Tough Mudder sponsorship

Jeep is backing its two year sponsorship of Tough Mudder UK with experiential activity at all seven UK locations for the obstacle course challenge race. The sponsorship programme is aimed at reaffirming Jeep’s position as the vehicle of choice for adventure-seekers, and sees Jeep supporting Tough Mudder events through on-site presence and driving challenges where people taking part in the race can try some off-road action. The Tough Mudder series, which is among the toughest obstacle challenges in the world, tests the endurance and strength of participants over a 10 to 12 mile course. As part of its association with the brand, Jeep will provide a number of Grand Cherokee, Wrangler and new Cherokee models for use at each weekend. Damien Dally, head of brand, Jeep UK, says: “This very exciting sponsorship allows us to get the Jeep brand in front of adventure-seekers and their families – showcasing our range of premium 4x4 vehicles to a potentially new audience. Across the seven events we’ll also be supporting our dealer network by encouraging people to sign up for vehicle test drives as well as take advantage of the latest offers”. The Jeep brand is owned by US vehicle maker Chrysler, which is now part of Fiat. The Jeep vehicle line-up includes Grand Cherokee, Compass, Patriot, Wrangler two-and four-door – and the all-new 2014 Cherokee. The company sells and services vehicles in approximately 120 countries around the world. Tough Mudder Ltd was founded in March 2011 and is billed as “Probably the Toughest Event on the Planet.” Each Tough Mudder endurance challenge tests participants’ toughness, fitness, strength, stamina, mental grit and teamwork. In 2014, Tough Mudder will host more than 70 events in at least 13 countries.
