Sharp’s #SEETHEUNSEEN close-up competition

To celebrate the launch of its Quattron Pro TV range, Sharp Europe has teamed up with microscopic photographer David Maitland to run a competition where people can win a 60” Quattron Pro by correctly guessing what an extreme close-up image is of. The Quattron Pro TV range displays images at 2.5 times the resolution of full HD. Sharp will post a different image on its official blog, Humans Invent, every week for the next four weeks, challenging fans to #SeeTheUnseen and guess the image. Four fans will win a TV by submitting the correct answer via Twitter or Facebook. Sharp is also releasing a video interview with multi award-winning photographer David Maitland on its blog, Humans Invent, to introduce the competition. In the film, David talks about microscopic photography (also known as photomicrography) and shows the process of magnifying and photographing Vitamin C to reveal its beauty at the crystalline level. To be in with a chance to win, participants must guess what they think the microscopic image displayed is, sharing their answer on either Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #SeeTheUnseen. Each week a winner will be announced and a new image will be displayed providing multiple chances to win. Entrants will be accepted across Europe and participants can guess as many times as they like using the hashtag #SeeTheUnseen. Sharp will also release clues as to what the image is as the week progresses using its @SharpEurope twitter and Facebook page.
