Holiday Inn teams up with The Beano for summer sampling initiative

A bespoke issue of The Beano has been created for families visiting Holiday Inn Hotels and Resorts this summer. From the last week in May throughout the summer of 2014, families checking in to Holiday Inn hotels across the UK will be given a free copy of The Beano. The 32-page special edition of The Beano has been created exclusively for Holiday Inn visitors and will feature a unique story line which sees Dennis the Menace and his family enjoy a fun-filled stay at a Holiday Inn hotel. Cathy Frossard, marketing manager, DC Thomson, says: “We are delighted to be working with Holiday Inn on this exciting sampling initiative. The bespoke issue of The Beano will be a great way for us to entertain kids in the hotels and introduce a new generation of readers to our characters.” The brand alliance was orchestrated by ATOM Marketing. The Beano is a British children’s comic, first published by DC Thomson in July 1938 and still printed weekly. It reaches hundreds of thousands of children every week. It is best known for characters such as Dennis the Menace, Gnasher, The Bash Street Kids and Minnie the Minx. The spin-off animation series, Dennis the Menace and Gnasher, is exported around the world and is one of the highest rated shows on CBBC.
