Jura Appoints BD Network as lead global creative agency

Single malt whisky brand Jura has announced the appointment of integrated agency BD Network as its retained global lead creative agency after a four-way pitch earlier this year. The appointment comes in advance of the launch of a new brand platform planned for 2015. As part of the new brand campaign, Jura is looking to actively seek out new whisky drinkers, driving trial and awareness of the brand and making Jura the whisky of choice in the single malt category. BD Network will create brand campaigns that will be implemented in multi-channel for the UK and European markets. Bob Dalrymple, global marketing controller for Jura’s owner, Scotch whisky company Whyte & Mackay, says: “We’re delighted to appoint BD Network to work with us driving the Jura brand forward at what is an exciting time. BD Network clearly showed not only an understanding of the brand but a deep rooted grasp of the category which is key to us delivering against our brand ambitions over the coming years.” Whyte & Mackay is part of United Spirits, the Indian drinks giant and the second largest spirits producer in the world. Jura whisky is produced on the Scottish island of Jura, one of the Inner Hebrides. BD Network clients includes Peugeot, Coca-Cola, Virgin Media, Uniqlo, Nintendo, Arla Foods, British Sugar, Whyte & Mackay and Heinz.
