McCain Chips jumper shopper experiential campaign

Monday October 27, 2014 at 11:12am
To celebrate the return of its Chips for Tea ad to National TV, frozen food company McCain has launched its first shopper experiential campaign, offering ASDA customers the chance to immediately claim a free Chips Jumper (as seen in the McCain TV ad) with any two packs of McCain products. The campaign, developed by Blue Chip, will be visiting 16 ASDA stores across the UK during October. Teams positioned at the entrance of stores will be distributing the jumpers to shoppers who present their proof of purchase upon exit. Jayne Sawyer, McCain’s brand activation manager, says: “The Chips Jumpers activity helps us get the McCain brand outside of the freezer aisle in a fun and engaging way. We successfully retailed these at Primark during the first airing of our TV ad back in February; now we are back on air, we’ve extended our campaign into store.” Myrtle Doyle, group account director for Blue Chip London, says: “We’ve developed a shopper campaign that delivers real stand out for McCain at the front of store, engages shoppers with a motivating reward and will ultimately drive sales.”
