Princes canned fish £5,000 recipe competition

Princes, the UK’s number one canned fish brand, is launching a new on-pack promotion aimed at increasing consumption of canned fish by demonstrating its simplicity and versatility. “Favourite Fish Dish” is a major new recipe-inspired promotion that offers shoppers the chance to win a £5,000 prize in return for sharing their favourite canned fish recipe and the chance to win instant prizes as well. It is featuring on two million tuna 4-packs Shoppers are encouraged to submit an on-pack promotional code and upload a canned fish recipe on www.princes.co.uk/offers/, with the chance to win hamper prizes each month and a £5,000 cash prize for the overall favourite fish dish. All of the finalists’ recipes will be featured online and the main winner will have their fish dish professionally created and photographed. The promotional code also gives shoppers the opportunity to win prizes including kitchenware, a kitchen makeover and Princes recipe booklets. Everyone who enters a code will also receive a voucher for 50p money off selected Princes fish products. Neil Brownbill, marketing director for Princes, says: “This is a major investment in our canned fish product portfolio. Standard tuna accounts for 67% of the canned fish market so we’re using our tuna 4-packs to drive trial and purchase across the entire Princes range. We’re also hoping to deepen consumer engagement with our products by encouraging recipe sharing to showcase the versatility of canned fish.” The Princes Favourite Fish Dish promotion will run from September 2014 to August 2015.
