Smint ‘Fresh To Impress’ sampling

Perfetti Van Melle’s Smint is to blitz London with sampling teams from mid-October through to mid-November, in support of the brand’s ‘Fresh To Impress’ campaign. Building on the success of previous campaigns, ‘Fresh To Impress’ Smint brand ambassador teams will also be encouraging independent sandwich bars and cafes to stock Smint’s best-selling sugar-free mints. In addition, cafes and sandwich shops will have the option to site free Smint samples and receive free Smint branded sandwich bags. Special Smint sachets will also be distributed via widespread office drops across London by the Smint sampling team in order to reach Smint’s key target audience. As with previous stages of the campaign, activity will focus on Smint’s core Mint flavour and will also remind consumers of Smint’s Strawberry flavour through the branded sandwich bags. The campaign was created for Perfetti Van Melle by Fountain Marketing. Shankar Iyer, product manager for the Smint brand, says: “This sampling activity is a fantastic way for Smint to reach its core audience in offices and sandwich shops during lunch time. This activity follows on from our plan to take Smint’s ‘Fresh To Impress’ message across various platforms in 2014, which includes outdoor advertising, cinema sponsorship and social media.” Previous Smint campaigns have targeted key consumers at different stages of their working day – on the way to work at work and also where they buy their lunch from. This stage is intended to build on the success and feedback from previous activity and offer consumers the convenience of buying Smint at the same time as their lunch.
