#EmptyPint from London Pride hits Twitter

Monday November 3, 2014 at 10:32am
Fuller, Smith & Turner, the London brewer and premium pub company, launches a new interactive social media campaign today (Monday November 3, 2014) which enables customers to get a free refill of their London Pride simply by tweeting a picture of their empty London Pride branded glass with the hash tag #EmptyPint. The #EmptyPint offer runs until Sunday November 16, 2014 and is redeemable in the vast majority of Fuller’s managed pubs within the M25. there are 5,000 free pints on offer. London Pride customers who tweet a photo of their empty London Pride pint glass with the hashtag will receive a direct message with a unique code. This code can be redeemed at the bar for their next pint of London Pride or a draught soft drink. The inspiration for the campaign came from the brewer’s empty pint poster that has formed a key part of the Made of London advertising campaign. The social media element will itself be supported with an outdoor poster campaign featuring six sheet and 48 sheet posters, adverts in London media and paid-for-promotion on Twitter. Fuller’s already uses Twitter as part of its marketing mix with the #DropofPride campaign bringing London Pride beer and merchandise to a lucky selection of offices across London on the last Friday of every month. Group digital manager John Skinner says: “We get great engagement from our customers and fans on social media, and to bring the Made of London campaign one step closer to them is irresistible. Given the popularity of the empty pint posters, we saw a great opportunity to give our fans a reason to make their own iconic empty pint photo, and reward them for it. Thanks to the technology in our pubs and a strong social team, we are able to make this a reality.”
