23 Red and Arc were among UK agencies which picked up trophies in the European IMC Awards program at a ceremony hosted by the IPM last night (November 13 2014). 23red took a gold award for its work on the Stoptober smoking cessation campaign and a silver award for Be Food Smart, both on behalf of Public Health England. Arc took a gold and silver for the RNLI Respect the Water campaign (pictured). Other UK winners were Savvy, which took a silver award for its work on Morrisons sponsorship of Saturday Night Takeaway and whynot! which was awarded a bronze for Anchor Rewards Club. The IMC European Awards are only open to national award winners in the nine member countries of the Integrated Marketing Communications Council (IMC) of Europe. For the UK, the only route to entry is to first win a trophy in the IPM Awards (the IPM Awards 2015 Call For Entries will be published soon). The IMC European Awards programme is managed by EACA, with the assistance of the IMCC and with the support of WARC and Adforum. IMCC Chairman, Ondrej Gottwald, says: "I am glad to say that this was another successful year for the IMC European Awards with an overall increase in the quality of entries. Finalists from seven countries across Europe have been selected which shows that our region has a great interest in integrated marketing. What is more, it was great to see that aside from commercial communications campaigns, many entries promote charities of non-profit initiatives, making a positive impact on important social causes.” EACA will offer gold winners the chance to enrol in the online IMCC International Diploma course for free. The IMCC International Diploma was developed for EACA by the IPM. It covers all promotions communicated via media and various channels such as web, mobile and experiential. The IMC Awards winners were selected by a judging panel made up of 60 industry professionals from across Europe. The complete list of winners from all across Europe will be released late November.
