Wallace & Gromit take over at Homepride Flour!

Nearly 2 million packs of Homepride flour will feature cult Aardman Animation characters Wallace & Gromit as part of Homepride’s partnership with this year’s BIG Bake charity event. The BIG Bake, which takes place from December 1 to December 7 2014, encourages people across the UK to organise bake sales in schools, workplaces and among friends and family to raise money to support Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity, which provides hospices and hospitals with equipment, therapy, family support programmes and accommodation in order to make children’s stay a little easier. Homepride is this year’s main sponsor for the event, and will be featuring it on 1.8 millions packs of flour. Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity is also holding a Cracking Bakers competition for the BIG Bake, with a wide range of baking prizes on offer including a KitchenAid Hand Blender, Heston Blumenthal weighing scales, Wallace & Gromit merchandise and a year’s supply of Homepride Flour. were lending a helping hand today at the Homepride Flour factory, in aid of the BIG Bake 2014. The pair were spotted doing quality control checks to ensure their branded packs were top-notch! Wallace & Gromit visited the Gainsborough factory to oversee production of their new BIG Bake Homepride Flour packs, taking over our supermarket shelves and kitchen cupboards from 6th November. Over 1.8 million Homepride Flour packs will feature Wallace & Gromit as they ask the nation to whip out their whisks, preheat their ovens and get baking for the children in hospitals and hospices across the UK. Marie Storey, head of fundraising at Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity says: “We hope when the nation see the fantastic Homepride flour packs they will rise to the occasion and join us to help sick kids across the UK. The BIG Bake 2014 is expected to exceed last year’s 189,000 participants. We have lots of exciting plans and competitions this year which will allow everyone to become a part of Big Bake.”
