Warburtons launches Paddington film promotion

Warburtons has put a £2.5 million marketing investment behind a major Half & Half on-pack cinema ticket promotion offering free child tickets to see the new Paddington movie. The promotion, which is part of Warburtons’ on-going strategic Paddington partnership, offers a a free child’s Cineworld cinema ticket with any two packs of Warbeartons Half & Half range purchased. Warburtons marked the launch of its partnership with Paddington earlier this year with a new Warbeartons logo and the iconic Paddington Bear featuring on over six million Warburtons Half & Half products. Warburtons says the latest family promotion is worth £10 per person. It will be running across five million packs of Half & Half. Paddington is the first live action film inspired by Michael Bond’s best-selling children’s books and will be released nationwide in cinemas from November 28. Megan Harrison, brand and portfolio director at Warburtons, says: “This is a fantastic campaign that capitalises on the long-term growth of the Half & Half sector. It is a high value ‘everybody wins’ giveaway that will drive excitement in bakery aisles across the country.” Paddington is produced by David Heyman (producer of all eight of the Harry Potter films, Gravity and The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas) and directed by twice BAFTA nominated Paul King (Come Fly With Me, The Mighty Boosh). Stars include Nicole Kidman as the villain, Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Peter Capaldi and Jim Broadbent.
