Coors Light’s Ice Bar comes to Brrrrixton
Friday December 5, 2014 at 12:32pm
Coors Light will be setting up its Coors Light Ice Bar in Windrush Square in Brixton from December 13 to 18, 2014, launching with a private gig by Rudimental for winners of the brand’s recent on-pack competition. The bar then opens its doors to the public from Saturday 13 December. On arrival, guests will be welcomed into the Coors Light alpine lodge for half an hour before venturing into the Ice Bar. Before entering the Ice Bar, guests will be wrapped up in thermal capes and gloves designed to withstand 30 minutes in the -5°c temperatures. Once inside, visitors can chill-out on ice-carved furniture, touch the iced hand-print wall or get their picture taken next to a life-sized snow angel. To drink, they can choose a Coors Light on draught or in bottles or from a range of super-cool Coors Light cocktails. To make the experience as cool as possible, all guests can purchase drinks using ‘intelligent wristbands’, which can be pre-loaded with funds or topped up at the venue. The bands will also enable wearers to post social media updates to their friends without needing to remove their warm clothes. General admission to the Ice Bar and alpine lodge is free, and bookings are now open. Coors is strongly advising people to pre-book places at CoorsLight.co.uk/IceBar/London. Following the London debut, the Coors Light Ice Bar will move to Manchester for another week-long schedule of events starting March 13 2015.
