Kellogg’s launches Match Attax promotion

Kellogg’s has launched a new Topps Match Attax cards promotion on promotional price-marked boxes of Corn Flakes Coco Pops and Variety Packs. These money-can’t-buy card packs are exclusive to Kellogg’s and include a limited edition player card in every packet. The deal is available in the convenience channel and can be found in a range of retailers including Londis, Martin McColls, Spar and Nisa. Kellogg’s will also be providing special point of sale materials for participating retailers and is hosting give-aways with trade partners to win signed football shirts. Details of the partnership will feature on 400,000 Match Attax starter kits, Match of the Day magazine and Kick magazine. Nick Dawson, UK sales director of specialty channels, at Kellogg’s, says: “This is an incredible promotion for the channel as we know Topps cards rank high for children within convenience and you won’t be able to buy these packs anywhere else. There are a limited number of special packs, so once they’re gone, they’re gone, and as well as being a fantastic freebie, this promotion will help direct shoppers to key brands that sell well in the channel. The popularity of Match Attax has reached fever pitch and as you are guaranteed a limited edition card with every pack, this will ultimately drive purchase and provides a real point of difference with the major supermarkets because it’s a convenience exclusive.”
