Princes Corned Beef win weekend break on-pack promo

Princes has launched an on-pack promotion with weekend breaks, Kindle Fire tablets and shopping vouchers as prizes. The promotion will feature on 1.5 million packs of Princes 340g Corned Beef and forms part of an integrated marketing campaign, which includes above-the-line, PR, digital advertising and retailer-specific support, to drive shopper engagement and reward repeat purchase. Shoppers enter by going to the promotional website, winaweekendbreak.co.uk, registering and then answering two simple questions about the product. They will then be told instantly if they have won a prize. Prizes include 20 weekend breaks (worth up t0 £1,000), 500 Kindle Fire tablets, 3,000 £20 supermarket vouchers and 30,000 £1 Money Off Next Purchase coupons. If they have won the weekend break, Kindle or supermarket vouchers, consumers have to print off a winning certificate and mail it in with their proof of purchase and the original wrapper from the product. £1 MONP coupons can be printed instantly. Neil Brownbill, marketing director for Princes, says: “Corned Beef has been a firm favourite for generations and continues to be purchased by consumers spanning all life stages but is delivering strongest growth amongst family shoppers, so we feel our latest promotion, which offers free weekend breaks, is ideally placed to appeal to this wide and diverse customer base. Volume per buyer is up 1.6% year on year and frequency of purchase is up 2.4% so we’re hoping to further drive consumer engagement and reward repeat purchase with a series of compelling prizes.”
