Heinz and Starlight charity launch fifth ‘Get Well Soup’ campaign

Heinz is again partnering with national children’s charity Starlight for the ‘Get Well Soup’ campaign, raising funds for seriously and terminally ill children across the UK. It is the fifth year running the food giant has run the charity-linked promotion. Consumers can buy personalised cans of ‘Get Well Soup’ via the Heinz Soup Facebook page for £3.99 (p&p included), and have their own messages put on the can labels, to send to friends to cheer them up. Get Well Soup will also be available in Selfridge’s London, Manchester and Birmingham stores. For each purchase, Heinz will donate £1 to support storytelling activities for hospitalised children during May and June 2015. The campaign runs from January 1 to February 28 2015, and will be supported by a TV tag for the first two weeks in January as well as being promoted via the UK Heinz Tomato Soup Facebook page. Marco Marioni, from Heinz, said: “We are delighted to work with Starlight again for this great campaign. Not only will the personalised cans bring a smile to a loved one’s face it will also help raise vital funds for this great charity and benefit poorly children in hospitals and hospices across the UK. In previous years, our Get Well Soup campaign has been a great success and we hope that this year will be better than ever.” Starlight Children’s Foundation is a national children’s charity which aims to brighten the lives of over half a million poorly children and their families in the UK every year. It grants wishes for seriously and terminally ill children and provides fun, laughter and distraction to sick children in hospitals and hospices.
