Warburtons in two-year partnership with BHF

Warburtons will be working together with the British Heart Foundation until 2016 to help share information on health and nutrition and raise awareness of the importance of healthy eating in maintaining a healthy heart. This will include how starchy carbohydrates, such as bread, play a positive role in a healthy balanced diet. Warburtons will display the iconic BHF logo over the next two years on all wholemeal bread packaging. With 70m Warburtons wholemeal products bought each year, this means that the on-pack nutritional and heart health messages will reach over 6m million households. To mark the partnership’s launch, Warburtons is donating 5p from every British Heart Foundation loaf of Warburtons wholemeal 400g and 800g bread, to help fund the charity’s life saving research. Special loaves with an on pack donation flash will be in shops from now until the end of February. Warburtons is also the official sponsor of The British Heart Foundation Wear it, Beat it campaign. The company will be running various activities to support the link up, including offering consumers the chance to win a Red Breakfast hamper filled with state of the art Breville Toaster, other kitchen items and a wholemeal loaf via its Facebook page.
