Weetabix launches strawberry flavour, promotion for Red Nose Day

Weetabix has launched a special edition Weetabix Strawberry and an on pack-promotion across its Weetos, Ready brek and Crispy Minis brands, in support of its partnership with Comic Relief for Red Nose Day. The initiative will see the company donate 5p to Comic Relief for each pack sold. Both the new Weetabix Strawberry variety and Weetabix’s kids brands have been taken over by the new Red Noses, with a Weetabix Red Nose Day ‘Pick Your Nose’ on-pack promotion features on Weetabix Strawberry, Weetos, Ready brek and Crispy Minis. The child-focused on-pack promotion offers adults the chance to win an amazing experience for their child. There are nine experiences and 50 runner-up prizes of £20 Toys-‘R-Us vouchers to be won every week between from now until April 3 2015. To take part, consumers simply need to visit pickyournose.weetabix.com, enter their pack code and pick the one of the nine Red Noses (each with their own name and character) which represents their preferred prize, such as an experience to fly through the sky like a superhero with amazing indoor skydive experience. The nine experiences include: Snorbit's Space Search! (trip to a planetarium); Supernose's Superhero Flight! (indoor skydiving); Astrosnort's Astronaut Training! (admission to the National Space Centre); Snotty Professor's Science Party! (a Children’s Science professor entertainer performs for 60 minutes at the winner’s home); Snout Dracula's Vampire Zoo! (trip to the nearest zoo); Karate Konk's Karate Training! (12 weekly karate lessons); Snortel's Underwater Adventure! (trip to aquarium plus exclusive experience); Nosebot's Robot World! (trip to nearest science museum); Stripey's Mystery Prize!! (includes £150 in toy shop vouchers). Consumers can enter up to three times a day, but have to have a new unique code for each entry. Shoppers also get a 50p coupon on the Weetabix Strawberry packs to drive repeat purchase. The launch is being backed by a marketing campaign that starts in February and will be fronted by an as-yet-unidentified A-List celebrity. Special edition 24 packs of Weetabix Strawberry are available at £2 for a limited time at all major retailers, wholesalers and convenience stores ahead of Red Nose Day on Friday March 13.
