Anchor to launch baking kits for schools scheme

Friday February 27, 2015 at 1:35pm
Anchor is marking the return of practical baking to the educational curriculum in primary schools with a new scheme offering schools the chance to get Anchor Baking Kits For Schools. Launching at the end of March and running through to the May 24, every promotional pack of Anchor Block Butter and Anchor Unsalted Block Butter purchased will trigger a 10p contribution to the baking kits fund, which will then be distributed to all primary schools that have signed up to the programme. The promotion has been created for Anchor by integrated agency whynot! The baking kits are designed to help teachers of practical cookery make the most of their classes, as each pack contains all the basic baking essentials. The scheme is open to all primary schools across the UK. To be involved, schools just have to register online at www.anchordairy.co.uk/kitsforschools. Every school that signs up to the scheme also has the opportunity to win additional items for their school, from mini ovens to a masterclass from a local baker and even a full kitchen make-over. Schools have to sign up by midnight on March 16, and all schools that do will receive a minimum of five baking kits. Jennifer Brown, brand manager for Anchor, says: “At Anchor, we want to help the next generation get into baking. By providing baking kits, we are hoping to make it easier for teachers to share their passion with their students and make it more accessible to everyone.”
