Innocent Drinks is again running its The Big Knit promotion, encouraging members of the public to get knitting and produce their own little woolly hats for Innocent’s smoothie bottles. The brand then donates 25p for every bottle and hat that are sold to Age UK to help keep older people warm in winter. This year, Innocent is also donating 10p for every hat shared on Facebook and is running a Facebook competition to win a The Big Knit T-shirt. Celebrity supporters this year include Cara Delavigne, Benedict Cumberbatch, Harry Styles, Kate Moss, Ryan Gosling and Sir Paul Smith. The Big Knit first launched in 2003, and has run every year since. Since it launched, people have knitted more than 4 million hats and the campaign has raised over £1.5m for Age UK. The money is used to pay for blankets, hot water bottles, hot meals and social gatherings.
