Kettle Chips launches new handy pack promotion

Kettle Chips is launching a new on-pack promotion on its 40g handy packs, following the success of its first handy pack promotion last year. The ‘Ultimate Treat’ competition features hundreds of instant win prizes including trips to Paris, hot air balloon rides, deluxe theatre breaks, gourmet Michelin lunches and luxury food hampers. In addition, there is a top prize where the winner will be able to choose their ‘Ultimate Treat’ holiday from three options: a 16-day American road trip or seven days on a Caribbean cruise or a luxury holiday in Mauritius. The promotion is running across the brand’s top five seasonings of Lightly Salted, Mature Cheddar & Red Onion, Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar, Sea Salt & Crushed Black Peppercorns and Sweet Chilli & Sour Cream, and the top four price-marked 40g packs. To enter, consumers need to go online to www.kettletreats.co.uk and enter a unique code printed on each promotional pack. They will find out if they have won one of the instant prizes immediately; all entries will also be entered into a draw to win the grand prize which will be held once the promotion closes. The instant win part of the draw closes on August 31, 2015, while entry to the main draw can be made up until November 30, 2015. Last year’s Kettle Chips’ handy pack competition saw the brand team up with Hand Picked Hotels. Jim Couchman, Kettle Foods head of impulse, says: “We are confident that the promotion will be highly popular with consumers and so further increase sales.” The promotion is being supported with trade press advertising, a range of POS and dump bins for retailers, branded bus stops and pallet wraps within Cash & Carry depots. To amplify the on-pack even further, a consumer-facing programme of social media and PR activity is also planned.
