Potential diversity funding for IPM Diploma: three weeks to go!
Wednesday February 4, 2015 at 1:53pm
The IPM is alerting members and others in the promotional marketing industry to the potential for funding for minority students on the IPM Diploma course – but only if they get applications in by the end of February. Enrolment for the IPM Diploma is open until March 13 2015, with the course starting March 16 and running until September 7. More details can be found HERE. Under Creative Skillset’s Diversity Fund (England), financial support may be available to a value of up to £1,200 per individual (£1,600 for disabled applicants). The IPM has been working with Creative Skillset, which focuses on promoting training and development within the creative industries, and is keen to make sure that as many IPM members (and non-members) as possible are aware of the potential for funding. Bursaries will be available for individuals who belong to at least one of the following under-represented groups: women, disabled people and Black Asian and non-white Minority Ethnic (BAME) people. The money is being made available as a result of collective co-investment and support from a partnership of employers from the creative industries, led by Channel 4 and supported by Government through co-investment from the Employer Ownership of Skills Pilot. This fund is available across all creative industries within Creative Skillset’s footprint. Individuals working in games, fashion and textiles, advertising and marketing communications, publishing, VFX, radio, animation, interactive media, facilities, photo imaging, TV and film are eligible to apply. Applications for funding can be submitted until the end of February 2015. All training must be completed by January 31 2016. Further details on how to apply can be found on the Creative Skillset website, www.creativeskillset.org, or contact Ida Jarsve, Diversity and Inclusion Administrator, email diversityfund@creativeskillset For information about the IPM Diploma, contact Jody Bratley on 020 7291 7742 or email Jodyb@theipm.org.uk
