Purple names James Mayfield, ex-Stack and Wax, as creative director

The Purple Agency has appointed James Mayfield as creative director. Mayfield joins the agency – recently ranked as one of the top three in the south east of England – from London-based agency Stack (formerly CMW) where he was creative group head. Prior to his appointment as Stack’s creative group head, Mayfield was Stack’s head of activation. He joined the agency after six years as creative group head at integrated agency Wax Communications. As well as a wide range of B2B clients, leading brands Mayfield has worked for include Canon, Currys, Hula Hoops, Disney, McVities, Muller, Nestle, NFL, Vaseline, and Virgin.
