The Purple Agency has appointed James Mayfield as creative director. Mayfield joins the agency – recently ranked as one of the top three in the south east of England – from London-based agency Stack (formerly CMW) where he was creative group head. Prior to his appointment as Stack’s creative group head, Mayfield was Stack’s head of activation. He joined the agency after six years as creative group head at integrated agency Wax Communications. As well as a wide range of B2B clients, leading brands Mayfield has worked for include Canon, Currys, Hula Hoops, Disney, McVities, Muller, Nestle, NFL, Vaseline, and Virgin. Steve Shaw, head of agency at Purple, says: “James brings a considerable and impressive range of experience to Purple, not least in the areas of multi-channel marketing. He’s a strong advocate of customer experience – and so are we. The list of clients he has worked with – from Virgin and McVities to Disney and Peugeot – means his advocacy of customer experience is backed by an ability to turn this into winning campaigns at the highest level.” Offering a blend of data, digital and content creation capabilities, The Purple Agency, part of marketing and secure communication solutions provider Adare, delivers end-to-end customer experience marketing programmes to leading brands in the UK and internationally.
