Clover runs ‘Here’s One We Baked Earlier’ campaign with McCain

Clover, the UK’s biggest dairy spread brand, has been running a shopper sampling campaign in collaboration with McCain, called ‘Here’s One We Baked Earlier’. The bespoke campaign, created for Sainsbury’s, ran in 120 stores throughout the country towards the end of February, sampling McCain’s ready Baked Jackets with Clover Original Spread. The work was created by marketing agency Cosine. Aligned to ‘Perfect Partners’, one of Dairy Crest’s ‘Dairy for Life’ category growth drivers for Butters, Spreads and Oils, the ‘Here’s One We Baked Earlier’ sampling campaign aims to encourage shoppers to include Clover in more in-home usage occasions by reminding them to top their jacket potatoes with Clover dairy spread. Nick Rowlands, shopper marketing manager at Dairy Crest, says: "We’re really excited to be launching this sampling campaign with McCain. McCain is the perfect partner for us to recapture lost dairy usage occasions, reminding shoppers how delicious a ready-baked jacket potato can be with a knob of Clover. With more buttermilk than any other brand, Clover has the buttery taste we all love with only half the saturated fat of butter allowing you to enjoy good food that’s guilt free.” The ‘Here’s One We Baked Earlier’ sampling campaign aims to increase incremental sales of Clover, which now has a brand value of £88.4m according to IRI.
