Continental offers rewards drivers with UK luxury hotel stays

International tyre brand Continental is offering its UK customers a chance to experience just how fun driving can be by rewarding them with a free night’s stay for two at some of Britain’s most luxurious hotels. The Continental Road Trip promotion, created by TLC Marketing UK, gives Continental customers the chance to choose from a free night’s stay at more than 200 hotels across the UK and Ireland, including the Malmaision, Hotel Du Vin and Bespoke chains, when they purchase tyres at a participating retailer. The brand is also celebrating the nation’s love of the open road with a guide to the 12 most breathtaking and challenging roads across UK and Ireland for Continental customers to road test. The guide is online at www.continentalroadtrip.com. The campaign will be supported by a radio advertising campaign for two weeks starting April 13 across three outlets, Absolute Radio Network, Classic FM and Newslink, as well as a comprehensive point of sale, PR, social and digital campaign. Peter Robb, Advertising and Sponsorship Manager at Continental Tyres, says: “This is a great example of a truly integrated approach, where we have harnessed the power of a relevant and well aligned reward, and amplified the campaign with exclusive content – wrapping it all together with a comprehensive ABL campaign." Robb adds: “Our independent research identifies that eight in ten people enjoy the experience of motoring and the Continental Road Trip campaign and the guide to the top 12 best drives taps into that positive sentiment very clearly, while rewarding customers with a luxury hotel night stay.” The promotion will run until May 31 2015. Continental Tyres in the UK and Ireland is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Continental Corporation. Continental had global sales of around €34.5 billion in 2014 and employs approximately 189,000 people in 49 countries.
