ODEON – Europe’s largest cinema group – has expanded the range of cinema tickets and vouchers that it offers in the business-to-business and motivation sectors with the addition of ‘print-at-home’ e-vouchers. The new bulk ‘Admit One’ e-voucher can be printed at home or in the office and then redeemed at ODEON box offices. The voucher code can also be used to book tickets via the ODEON website. For the corporate gifting and staff incentive market, e-vouchers offer instant, free and secure delivery and ease of redemption. Shireen Alvis of Lee, Head of Sales for ODEON Cinemas, says: “2015 is going to be a massive year for cinema in the UK, probably one of the best for years. We are seeing increased demand for bulk vouchers for use as business-to-business gifts, incentives, for use within employee benefits and as rewards for staff motivation. Our new e-vouchers will help grow the market even further because they are cost effective, simple to buy, secure and inexpensive to distribute. But, above all, they are easy for cinema goers to use to see their favourite films.” ODEON’s new e-vouchers have been developed by the cinema chain to support increasing demand by specialist marketing services company Opia, who won the contract as ODEON’s sales agency to handle bulk sales of ODEON’s cinema vouchers for the business-to-business and motivation sectors one year ago, following a six-month pitch process. In addition to developing the e-vouchers, ODEON & OPIA have also created an online voucher portal, www.ODEONvouchers.com, where corporate clients can purchase ‘Admit One’ e-vouchers as well as standard ‘admit one’ paper vouchers and £5 and £10 gift vouchers. ‘Admit One’ vouchers can be used to buy a standard 2D film ticket at all ODEON cinemas in the UK and Ireland, with the exception of the chain’s Central London flagship venues. Companies and organisations can save up to 38% off the face value of a cinema ticket* by buying in bulk, which makes cinema vouchers even more attractive as an imaginative corporate gift or employee benefit. Andy Stone, Account Director at Opia, adds: “Everyone loves a good film -- that’s why bringing the power of cinema to your business-to-business promotions are so effective. E-vouchers are going to make it so much easier and more cost-effective for companies to give clients and staff the gift of a great film experience.” With a strong track record in providing sales promotion and risk management services for leading brands, Opia has experience in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer promotions. It has previous experience of creating consumer-facing promotions involving cinema tickets, an area it will be looking to grow further as the relationship with ODEON matures.
