TRO to run Lucozade Sport activity at Virgin London Marathon

Experiential and event agency TRO will be bringing the Lucozade Sport brand to life through two brand activations surrounding this year’s Virgin London Marathon, taking place on Sunday April 26. The first activation will be delivered at the Marathon Expo being held at London’s ExCel exhibition centre, in Docklands. The second activation will be during the race itself, with a motivational brand experience being delivered at Mile 23 of the marathon course. one at the Marathon Expo held at London’s ExCel over four days in the run up to the marathon, and the other at Mile 23 of the marathon course with a motivational brand experience for runners on the day. In preparation for their involvement in the Virgin London Marathon, four TRO staff members, Sion Stansfield, Gary Wootton, Tom Gentle and Nick Glazier, donned their Lycra and cycled from London to Paris, completing the 210 mile challenge in around 26 hours. Only 12 hours later, Sion Stansfield, joined this time by TRO colleagues Nicky Morgan and Sarah Mayo, took their places on the Champs Elysees along with 54,000 other participants to run the Paris Marathon. Andrew Orr, another of the TRO team will be donning his Pink Lady costume for the third year running to run Virgin London Marathon on behalf of his client Pink Lady, raising money for the Stroke Association. Nicky Morgan and Sarah Mayo are raising money for Mind and Alzheimer’s Society, while Sion Stansfield is raising money for Alzheimer’s Society and Smile Train.
