Nestlé launches Rowntree's summer family "Great Escapes" promo

Sugar confectionery brand Rowntree’s is launching a new summer promotion offering families of all ages the chance to win one of 85 “Great Escapes”. In what is claimed to be a first for the brand, the promotion will run across the full Rowntree’s portfolio of singles and sharing bags, including favourite products such as Fruit Pastilles, Fruit Gums, Randoms, Jelly Tots and Tooty Frooties. Promotional stock will be available from June 1, which is also when the promotional microsite at www.rowntrees.co.uk/greatescapes/ starts accepting codes from packs. Each Great Escape involves a three-night break in the UK or Republic of Ireland. Locations featured include yurts, treehouses, coastal and country retreats. While the primary target audience is mums aged 28-44 with school aged kids, the prizes highlighted on packs will differ with each product in order to appeal more closely to its target audience – so Jelly Tots will feature Farm and Forest Funtime escapes, Rowntree’s Randoms feature Glamorous Glamping and Rowntree’s Fruit Pastilles feature Luxury Lodges. Prizes have been randomly allocated to pre-selected ‘magic moments’ time slots; the first person to enter on or after a magic moment starts wins the relevant prize. If no-one enters a code during the relevant magic moment, then all valid entrants will be entered into a prize draw to win any unallocated prizes at the end of the promotion. The Rowntree brand is owned by Nestle.
