Butterkist runs rugby-themed ‘try for cash’ promo with £500,000 prize fund

Popcorn brand Butterkist is to launch a new rugby-themed on-pack prize promotion, “Try for Cash”, from August 1st 2015, to tap in to the interest in the sport which is going to be generated by the Rugby World cup which starts in the UK on September 18th. Butterkist’s promotion will feature a prize fund of £500,000 and will feature across more than seven million sharing bags, including best-selling SKUs Toffee, Cinema Sweet, Sweet & Salted, Salted, and Sweet. The promotion will run until December 31st 2015, with a guaranteed win in every pack, as consumers can claim 50p off their next purchase of Butterkist.
