Tangerine Confectionery runs biggest ever on-pack for retro brands

Tangerine Confectionery is launching ‘Sweet Beats’, its biggest ever on-pack promotion, to build an association between its popular retro brands and music across its core range. Promotional packs offering a range of musical prizes for all age groups will be in-store from August 17th 2015. The promotion runs until January 2016 and offers thousands of prizes every week. These include Beats by Dr. Dre overhead headphones, UrBeats earphones, and Beats Pill portable speakers, plus £75 Ticketmaster gift cards and£10 digital downloads on iTunes or Spotify. A total of 25 million of Tangerine’s most popular SKUs will feature the music themed on-pack flash, including retro favourites Wham Original Chew Bar, Dip Dab and Refreshers Roll. Consumers enter the promotion by using their PCs, mobiles and tablets to go to www.tangerineuk.net and enter the barcodes from the back of promotional packs. They will be taken to a music player where they have to press the pause button at the perfect moment to see if they have won a prize. Gift cards for Ticketmaster or iTunes and Spotify will be emailed to winners, while winners of the Beats products will receive their prize in the post. For our younger consumers, the opportunity to win prizes from must-have music brands like Beats by Dr. Dre, Spotify and iTunes is a way of building hype and driving relevance into some of our best-loved retro SKUs.” The ‘Sweet Beats’ promotion will be featured on Wham Original Chew Bar, Dip Dab, Sherbet Fountain, Refreshers Roll, Flumps, Candy Sticks, Black Jack Chews, Fruit Salad Chews and Wham Cosmic Chews.
