Wolf Blass teams up with rugby legend for ‘dream team’ campaign

Australian wine brand Wolf Blass is teaming up with World Cup-winning rugby star Will Greenwood for a marketing campaign called Winning Line Up, including the chance to win tickets to a Six Nations match at Twickenham in March 2016. The campaign celebrates the launch of a new limited edition rugby-themed Wolf Blass range, with 15 different labels showing the different positions in a rugby team, such as winger, fly half or hooker, which will be in store in the UK until October 25th. Consumers are being challenged to vote for the greatest player to ever play in every position to help Wolf Blass put together the ultimate all-time dream team. Voters will be put into a weekly draw to win cases of the new wine range. There will be 10 weekly draws up until October 19th. There is also a Grand Prize draw, where all eligible entries will have the chance to win the Six Nations package, consisting of four tickets to the England vs Wales rugby match during the 2016 6 Nations on March 12th 2016 at Twickenham Stadium as well as two nights’ hotel accommodation near to the venue. To vote, consumers have to post a tweet with their choice of the best player ever to hold that week’s position on Twitter with the hashtag #WinningLineUp. Each week, Greenwood, a member of the England side that won the famous trophy in 2003, will give his opinion on the debate and appear on radio ads promoting the competition. Mathew Bird, marketing director at TWE, says: “Rugby fans love talking about the game, be it at the stadium, at the pub or tweeting at home – and there can be no better rugby debate: who will make up the best team in the history of the game? Winning Line Up perfectly links into this.”
