Bombardier launches rugby promotion

Bombardier beer is offering drinkers the chance to win thousands of rugby themed prizes or a rugby weekend in Paris by purchasing a pack of the beer in store or picking up a pint at their local pub. Consumers who pick up a four pack of Bombardier English cans, any bottle from the Bombardier range or a pint at one of 2,000 participating pubs has the chance to win an exclusive Bombardier rugby shirt or a money off voucher. Every pack of cans and bottles will have a unique code and all drinkers have to do is text theirs in to find out instantly if they have won. Drinkers at participating pubs will be given a scratchcard with their pint of Bombardier to reveal their unique code. One Bombardier fan will also be selected for the star prize of an all-expenses paid trip to Paris for a long weekend of rugby fun next season with four friends. The promotion will be supported by a host of social media activity with rugby-themed content from The Bombardier himself, Bob Mortimer, being shared with the beer’s 155,000 fans on Facebook and Twitter. Emily Hudson, English Ales Marketing Manager at brewer Charles Wells, explains: “We know Bombardier drinkers are generally big rugby and cricket fans, so we’re following a summer of sponsorship activity around the cricket with a new promotion to get people in the spirit for an exciting season of rugby, and to reward loyal Bombardier drinkers with a great prize to share with their mates – along with a consistently excellent English pint!”
