PepsiCo #gameready ticket promo follows UEFA Champions League deal

Tuesday September 8, 2015 at 9:52am
PepsiCo is capitalising on its sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League by launching #gameready, a promotion running across Walkers, Doritos and Pepsi Max, giving away tickets to UEFA matches. The promotion, which offers consumers the chance to win pairs of tickets every day and money to cover travel and accommodation expenses, kicks off on September 12th 2015. Closing date is November 12th. One randomly selected winner each day will get two tickets to a UEFA Champions League group stage home game of the team highlighted on the day of entry. There will also be a final catch up draw for entries received between November 13th 2015 and January 21st 2016 for two tickets to a UEFA Champions League game of the promoter’s choice. Every purchase of a promotional pack of Walkers, Doritos and Pepsi Max offers the chance to win tickets during the group stages. To find out if they have won, consumers enter their contact details plus the last four digits of the pack barcode online at www.game-ready.com. The campaign is apparently the first to be run simultaneously by PepsiCo across its European markets on both food and beverage brands. It includes high-profile media support for all three brands plus in-store materials and promotional activity as well as multi-media consumer activity. The campaign will be further supported by PepsiCo’s TV sponsorship, stadium branding, interview backdrops and perimeter boards. Kathryn Swarbrick, PepsiCo Head of Marketing, says: “Great sporting events always bring friends and families together as they share the excitement of the build-up and get themselves ready to enjoy the game. Our #gameready campaign is built around the nation’s love for football and we expect it to be extremely successful as we head into the exciting 2015/16 season.”
