Tesco: addressing price issues

Following news that an investigation revealed that Tesco had overcharged customers for promotions, it has been reported to the IPM that no further formal action is likely to be taken and that Tesco are addressing the situation with apologies issued to their customers. 

With expectations for all promoted materials and price promotions to be accurate and up to date in stores, the IPM urges all retailers to ensure compliance is of the highest standard, with trust in pricing and promotions for consumers of paramount importance. Tesco taking remedial action signals a positive move for the retailer and for it's customers.
