Awards Gala Dinner 2014

The IPM Awards have been running for 40 years, and recognise creativity and effectiveness in promotional marketing campaigns. In 2014, there were 32 separate main categories, covering client industry sectors, media channels, objectives and techniques, plus five special categories.

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution and agencies Leo Burnett Change/Arc and Savvy were among the big winners at last night’s IPM Awards 2014. The 'RNLI – Respect the Water' campaign, created for the RNLI by sister agencies Leo Burnett Change and Arc, took both the IPM Consumer Award 2014 and the IPM Grand Prix 2014. Because the campaign took both of these special awards, in addition to two Golds and a Silver, it also won the RNLI the prestigious IPM Brand Owner of the Year 2014 title.   

For the first time ever, there were two IPM Agency of the Year trophies awarded. As already mentioned, one went to Leo Burnett Change/Arc.

The IPM Awards 2014 Gala Dinner raised more than £10,000 for the organisation’s chosen charity, CoppaFeel! The total amount collected from special fundraising game – Booby Bingo and Bouncing Boobies, where guests could have themselves filmed in slow-motion on Booby Space Hoppers, was £10,122, CoppaFeel! is the only charity in the UK specifically dedicated to last year’ raising awareness about breast cancer amongst young people (particularly those aged 18 to 30), and there is a significant cross-over between its target audience and people working in promotional marketing.
