Entry Criteria Individual of the Year

Entry for The IPM COGS 2014 is now closed; the shortlist will be announced on August 15th, and the trophies will be awarded at a Gala Lunch to be held at the Grange Hotel, St Pauls, on September 19th.

The IPM COGS 2014 Individual of the Year award recognizes the achievements and outstanding contribution of an individual working in the provision of services to the Promotional Marketing industry.   

The entry submission should be no more than 1,000 words, and should be submitted using our online entry form. 

It can be submitted by the individual named in it or by a third party (such as an employer).    

Judges will be looking for information under the following headings:   

1.   Career history 

2.   Professional qualifications and memberships of professional bodies 

3.   Evidence of skill development and future plans to build on this 

4.   Summary of outstanding achievements 

5.   Evidence of innovation in terms of products or services 

6.   Evidence of contribution to raising the profile and standards of the UK Promotional Marketing industry 

7.   One case study which showcases what this individual does best 

8.   Endorsements from two clients other than that in the case study 

9.   Brief overview of why this person is worthy of winning the ‘Individual of the Year’ title   

Supplementary information – this may be made public in the event this entry is shortlisted:   

1.   100 word executive summary of why this person is worthy of the title: “Individual of the Year”. 

NOTE: This text may be used in PR and other collateral, so it should not contain any confidential information.   

2.   Two (2) images to support the entry (300dpi in JPEG, GIF or PNG formats) at least one of which should be a head and shoulders picture of the individual.  

NOTE: These images are not part of the judging process.  They may be used at the Awards ceremony and/or for future marketing collateral for the COGS awards and/or for other use by the IPM such as web content, case studies or educational material.
