IMC European Awards 2013 UK Winners

UK campaigns win most trophies in IMC European Awards

UK agencies were the big winners in The IMC European Awards 2013, taking away 19 trophies out of the total awarded, more than any other country.

Geometry Global (the new name for the merger of OgilvyAction and G2) won a Gold and two Silvers for its Triumph Essence Launch at Selfridges campaign on behalf of underwear company Triumph International Ltd. This used a ground-breaking interactive environment, the 'Triumph Essence Fantasy Mirror' to enable shoppers to 'try on' the collection virtually.

The IMC European Awards are open to national award winners in the 9 member countries of the Integrated Marketing Communications Council of Europe and are managed by the EACA, with the assistance of the IMCC and with the support of WARC and Adforum.

The selection was made by a jury panel made up of industry professionals from across Europe.

Only campaigns which have won an award in their own national awards programme are eligible for entry to The IMC Awards. In the UK, the IPM Awards are the only entry route.

Other-multi award winning UK agencies include:

  • Space (two Silvers for The Bulmers Way for Heineken UK);
  • The Leith Agency (a Silver and a Bronze for Let's Talk About Breasts for The Scottish Government);
  • 23red (a Silver and a Bronze for Stoptober for the UK Department of Health);
  • Arc London (a Silver and a Bronze for The Untouchable Covers for Lurzers International);
  • Arnold KLP (two Bronzes for Transform Your Patch for Britvic/Pepsi).
  • Blue Chip Marketing UK Ltd, which also won two awards, but for two different campaigns; a Silver for O2 Star Trader for Telefonica O2 UK Ltd, and a Bronze for McCain Smiles Free Ladybird Books for McCain Foods.

The full list of UK winners is below (in the Award column, B is Bronze, S is Silver and G is Gold). The complete list of winners from all across Europe will be released early December.

The IPM Awards 2014 Call for Entries will be available on the IPM website, www.theipm.org.uk/awards, soon.
