IPM Awards guests raise more than £10,000 for CoppaFeel! charity

The Institute of Promotional Marketing is delighted to announce that a special fundraising game – Booby Bingo – at the IPM Awards 2014 Gala Dinner last week raised more than £10,000 for the organisation’s chosen charity, CoppaFeel! 

The total amount collected from the sale of Booby Bingo game cards on the night, plus extra cash raised from a post-awards session where guests could have themselves filmed in slow-motion on Bouncing Booby Space Hoppers, was £10,122, well outstripping last year’s total of £7,000.

CoppaFeel! is the only charity in the UK specifically dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer amongst young people (particularly those aged 18 to 30), and there is a significant cross-over between its target audience and people working in promotional marketing.

Guests at the awards ceremony were offered the chance to buy special Booby Bingo game cards, for a minimum donation of £20. That allowed them to take part in a special Bingo game conducted by celebrity host Simon Evans, with more than £5,000 of prizes to be won. 

Third prize was a Panasonic 3D-LED Smart TV, kindly donated by Mando. Second prize was a Sky+ HD package, including Sky+ HD Box and a year’s subscription to Sky’s top TV package, donated by Sky. First prize was a two night stay in the Luxury Mayfair Suite at the London Hilton, worth more than £3,500. 

After the awards ceremony concluded, IPM guests were invited to try out some Bouncing Booby Space Hoppers, have themselves filmed in slow-motion and post the resulting video to social media sites to show their support for CoppaFeel!
