IPM London Quiz Night Autumn 2013
SMP wins Autumn 2013 IPM London Quiz Night
The autumn London
IPM Quiz Night – sponsored by fixed fee company Opia – was a great success,
with the SMP team taking first place, marginally ahead of a team from the IPM’s
own board of directors.
In a departure from the usual quiz questions, the night started with a balloon animal making challenge and also featured a special round made up of questions kindly provided by Mensa, the organisation for those with high IQs.
Eight teams battled
it out for the coveted IPM Tankard. In addition to the two special rounds mentioned above, there were questions on sports, music,
history, geography, entertainment and art and literature (all with a UK slant,
reflecting the IPM’s current Made in the UK focus), and one on the IPM itself.
The IPM Tankard
was presented to the SMP team by Simon White of sponsors Opia, along with a bottle of Bolney Estate English Sparkling Wine. The picture shows the SMP team with tankard, bubbly and balloon animals: more pictures of the quiz night are on the IPM Facebook page.
