IPM Spring Graduation at Houses of Parliament

IPM students, family, friends and colleagues crowded into the Churchill Dining Room at the House of Commons on Tuesday February 4th 2014 for the IPM’s Spring 2014 graduation ceremony.

Successful candidates from the IPM Diploma in Motivation 2013 and the IPM Certificate in Experiential Marketing 2013 were there to collect their certificates.

The event was hosted by Nadhim Zahawi, MP for Stratford-on-Avon, and one of the founders of market research company YouGov.

Chris Bestley, IPM training consultant, welcomed everyone and then introduced Nadhim Zahawi, who spoke about his own background in marketing and how passionate he was about professionalism and training in the industry.

Graham Temple, deputy chairman of the IPM, then talked about the IPM and the role it plays in the UK marketing industry. Lucy Gillions from Stack spoke about the importance of training in the experiential industry, and John Sylvester of P&MM (and a Board Director of the IPM) talked about the motivation industry.

Students on the Certificate in Promotional Marketing were then presented with their certificates by Nadhim Zahawi and Hina Gohil from the IPM’s Legal Advisory Service. Following that, students on the Diploma in Motivation were presented with their certificates by Nadhim Zahawi and John Sylvester.

The top candidates, one from each course, then received their prizes for their achievement, £100 worth of Active Vouchers donated by Craig Thomas of Active Consultancy.

Claire Kemp of DBMT was the highest-achieving student in the IPM Diploma in Motivation 2013, while Lauren Stacy from Arc Worldwide was the highest-scoring student in the IPM Certificate in Experiential 2013.

Finally, Chris Bestley  brought the ceremony to a close by wishing all the new graduates the best in their future careers.

Pictures from the ceremony have now been uploaded to the IPM’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/theIPM
