Training & Events Manager


This is a great opportunity for someone with event management experience looking to develop their career with a leading marketing trade body. The IPM runs events large and small throughout the year, from intimate training courses and workshops, social and sports events, one-day conferences through to our annual IPM and COGS Awards and is looking for someone to take these to the next level.     

The Role

You will have ownership of the event strategy and implementation for the IPM. Working across all departments to bring in the appropriate resources and ensure project plans are in place, you will demand quality and have attention to detail for all events.  

 You will: 

- Create an overall plan for the financial year 

-  Create project plans for each event, ensuring that the necessary resources are in place for each

-  Set the training and training course structure with the aid of experienced consultants bringing in expertise from a wide range of sources as appropriate

- Work closely with the Member Services and Marketing teams on all events

- Work closely with managing director and the board on senior level networking events   

Experience & Qualifications 

The ideal candidate will:

-  Have experience in managing events from the ground up 

-  be highly organised and process driven

-  be able to work at multiple levels from interns to CEOs

-  have a desire to learn and a drive for excellence

- have an interest in Marketing and Digital

- A positive can-do attitude, pitching in with the rest of the team when needed, and the ability to have fun along the way
