Darren Keen, Managing Director, MARS London (Conference Chairman)

Darren Keen has been Managing Director of MARS London, the UK arm of one of the world’s biggest shopper marketing agency group since October 2010, and is a recognized expert in the field. Before joining MARS, he was Head of Shopper Marketing at Arc Worldwide for just under four years. He has also worked as Client Service Director for The Marketing Store and Promotional Marketing Director for Saatchi & Saatchi. He started his marketing career as a Brand Manager with Rank Group.

Simon Miles, Digital Director, Coca-Cola Enterprises

In his current role as Digital Director at Coca-Cola Enterprises, which he has held for the last year, Simon Miles is responsible for driving online sales for Coca-Cola Enterprises across the company’s varied customer base. He is also tasked with delivering innovation in Digital Shopper Marketing across all phases of the path to purchase and beyond to CRM. Since joining CCE in 2006, he has held various roles, including Business Planning Controller, Head Of Planning, Associate Director - Shopper Marketing and Associate Director - Grocery. Before CCE, he was Marketing Director at International Sportsworld Communicators and before that was a marketer at Rothmans International.

 

Sarah Green, Managing Director, Dialogue and Shopper Lead Team, P&G EMEA  

Sarah Green has been Managing Director of shopper marketing agency Dialogue, which is the shopper marketing arm of WPP’s Grey Network, since September 2010. In January 2014, she was also given the role of Shopper Lead, Team P&G EMEA. Between 2003 and 2010, she was a Board Director of Dialogue, mainly responsible for overseeing the agency’s P&G business for Western Europe and CEEMEA.

Danielle Pinnington, Managing Director, Shoppercentric

Danielle is the Managing Director of specialist shopper insight agency Shoppercentric, which she founded in 2004. Shoppercentric clients include Cadbury, Lego, Coca Cola, ASDA, Unilever, Comet, Somerfield and many others. She is widely recognised as an expert in Shopper Marketing, appearing at numerous conferences and appearing on BBC TV and radio and being quoted in the national press and trade magazines. Prior to setting up Shoppercentric, she was a board director at Incite Marketing Planning and before that Deputy Managing Director of Research International UK’s Consumer Division. She started her career in research at Mass Observation.

Jon Walbancke, Shopper Marketing Manager, Food and Refreshment, Unilever

Jon Walbancke has worked in various shopper marketing roles at Unilever since August 2010. Starting as Unilever’s Retail Execution Manager, Morrisons, he then became Customer Marketing Manager, Tesco and is currently Shopper Marketing Manager, Food And Refreshment. He joined Unilever from Britvic, where he spent five years in various shopper marketing roles, and before that was at GlaxoSmithKline.

Alex Meisl, Chairman and Co-Founder, Sponge

  

Alex Meisl co-founded mobile marketing agency Sponge in 2002. Sponge delivers mobile strategy and insight, mCRM, mobile sites and applications for clients including Adidas, Asda, Autotrader, Barclays, Coca Cola, Diageo, Dyson, McDonalds, Orange and Unilever. The company increasingly focuses on how mobile enhances the customer experience within the retail environment, using technologies including Wi-Fi to allow retailers to develop a one-to-one relationship with their customers. Alex is a Board Director of the IPM, lectures on Mobile at UCL and speaks at conferences around the world.
