The IPM’s renowned and respected Legal & Compliance Service provides guidance on the law and the Codes of Practice which govern the UK’s marketing industry and promotional copy clearance to help agencies and brand owners sleep more comfortably at night.
We understand the pressures and constraints that marketers work under and we endeavour, wherever possible, to offer a one working day turnaround on our copy clearance service.
The service is provided by consultants with many years' combined experience in promotional marketing.
We offer fixed costs per enquiry, which represent a substantial saving on standard law firm rates.
The Legal & Compliance service is available to both members and non-members, but members can make significant savings by buying cases in bulk in advance.
We also offer a separate international legal & compliance service which covers countries outside of the UK since these are not covered by the IPM Legal & Compliance team. Please enquire for further details.

The IPM Legal & Compliance Service offers its best opinion on the basis of the information provided to it by enquirers and on the basis of its understanding and interpretation of the prevailing laws and Codes of Practice and their practical application and enforcement.
Incomplete information, particularly a failure to supply relevant facts and information, will make it difficult, if not impossible, for the IPM to give good professional advice.
Although the IPM Legal & Compliance Service is run by knowledgeable experts with many years' collective experience of promotional marketing, neither the Institute nor its employees or consultants will accept legal liability whatsoever for any error or omission in respect of the legal advice given.
It is a requirement of making use of the Legal & Compliance Service that these conditions are accepted as governing the provision of the services at all times.
